Albufeira, Portugal - Going to Albufeira by Train

Albufeira Railway Station is actually located just outside Ferreiras and about 6 km (4 miles) from Albufeira's town centre. There are several daily departures by Intercidades (Intercity) trains from Lisbon to Albufeira, and the journey takes about 3 hours and cost €21. There are the high speed Alpha Pendular trains from Lisbon to Faro and from here, take the regional (local) train to Albufeira - regional trains in the Algarve connect Albufeira with Lagos and Faro. You can find taxis periodically as well as buses waiting outside the station.
