Barcelona is served by Barcelona-El Prat Airport (often referred as Barcelona Airport), which is located about 16 km (10 miles) from the city centre. It is the second largest airport in Spain handling mainly domestic and regional flights between cities in Europe. There are a few scheduled flights between North Africa, North America and Latin American. Ground transport from the airport include commuter trains, taxis, vans and shuttle buses. If you prefer to drive, there are several car rental companies located at the airport.
