Faro, Portugal - Going to Faro by Train

The railway station in Faro is Estacao de Faro (Faro Station), a small station located in the city centre and close to the bus station. There are daily high-speed Alpha Pendular trains to Faro departing from Lisbon (2 hrs 30 min) and Porto (6 hrs). There are also the slower Intercidades (Intercity) trains departing from Lisbon to Faro (3hrs 45 min). Regional trains in the Algarve travel on the line between Lagos and Faro and another between Real de St. Antonio (near the Spanish border) and Faro.
