Driving in the central area of Granada can be 'terrifying' with its web of narrow one-way streets. Furthermore, many areas are off limits to private cars, enforced by traffic cameras and little black posts known as pilonas blocking some streets. Outside the central area, the roads are wider and driving is less of a hassle. Renting a car is a great idea if you plan to venture beyond the city and explore the scenic Sierra Nevada. You can find several car rental companies located at Granada Airport and Granada Train Station.
