Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport is located about 8 km (5 miles) southwest of Malaga and is the gateway for air travel to the Costa del Sol region. It is the fourth busiest airport in Spain (handling nearly 13 million passengers in 2013) after the airports at Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. Malaga Airport receives regular and seasonal flights from cities across the UK (including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh) and Europe (including Dublin, Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Munich and Geneva).
