Palma de Mallorca, Spain - Palma the Capital of Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca (often referred as just Palma) is the largest city and capital of the island of Mallorca and group of islands known as the Balearic Islands. The city is situated along the southwestern coast of Mallorca on the Bay of Palma and home to over 400,000 people (nearly half of the island's population). Tourists began to arrive in Palma in the 1950s and today it is the gateway to Mallorca with the island's main ferry terminal located here and Palma de Mallorca Airport nearby.
