There are no direct ferry services between Continental Europe and Gran Canaria. However, Trasmediterranea operates a weekly ferry service from Cadiz in southern Spain to Tenerife (trip takes two days), and from here there are ferries to Gran Canaria. Besides Tenerife, there are regular ferry services including hydrofoils between Gran Canaria and other islands in Canaries including Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma and El Hierro - main ferry operators include Trasmediterranea, Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas.
