Albufeira is a coastal city of 22,000 people situated in Portugal's southern region known as the Algarve. It was once a quiet fishing village but now a major holiday destination in Portugal. Albufeira offers holidaymakers sandy beaches and plenty of sunshine as well as good food, lively nightlife, variety of accommodation, water sports and golf. This holiday destination comprises of two areas i.e. the old section known as the Old Town (at the seafront) and the newer section known as the Strip.
