Madrid experiences a Mediterranean climate with continental influences. Summer here is perpetually sunny, hot and dry with average high temperatures reaching around 31°C (88°F) in July and August. Winters are fairly cold with average high temperatures around 10°C (50°F) in January and December, and often accompanied by frequent frost at night and occasional snow. The best time to visit Madrid is in spring and autumn when temperatures are mild though rainfall is concentrated in these seasons.
