Four motorways (M30, M40, M45 and M50) encircle Madrid with the M30 being the inner ring road encircling the central districts. Roads in Madrid can be difficult to navigate for drivers unfamiliar with the city and finding a parking a space can be a challenge. Some of the roads run underground and if you rely on a GPS navigator, you may not get a signal underground. You can find several car rental companies at the airport and railway stations, and companies include Hertz, Europcar, Budget and Avis .
