Madrid, Spain - Going to Madrid by Train

State-owned Red Nacional de Ferrocarriles Espanoles (Renfe) is the operator of Spain's railway system. There are frequent services between Madrid and the Spanish cities of Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Zaragoza, Tarragona, Lerida, Huesca and Puertollano. Connections extend as far as Lisbon in Portugal, Paris in France and Milan in Italy. Madrid has two railway stations namely Chamartín Station located in the northern side of the city and the Atocha Station on the southern side of the city centre.
