The
Turistrem or Tourist Train offers sightseeing and an interesting way to get around Albufeira. The train is actually a road vehicle running on wheels traveling in a loop. A complete trip takes about 45 minutes stopping near the Strip, Old Town, Praia dos Pescadores (beach) and Forte de Sao Joao. The trains depart every 20 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in October-May and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. in June-September. Tickets cost €2.50 (maximum 4 stops) but you can travel all you want for the day for €4.
