Lisbon, Portugal - Getting Around Lisbon by Bus

Most of the public buses in Lisbon are operated by Companhia Carris de Ferro de Lisboa or simply called Carris. The bus network comprises of nearly 800 buses, running 78 day routes and 11 night routes. Buses on the day routes start from around 6:00 a.m. until midnight and night routes from midnight until 5 a.m. The basic fare is €1.40 (€1.80 if bought on the bus) and the final fare depends on how many zones you traverse. You can purchase a day pass for €6 offering unlimited travel and can also be used on the metro.
