Porto features a Mediterranean climate with its warm dry summers and mild rainy winters. There are the cool rainy interludes during the summer months, and Porto is one of the wettest cities in Europe. Furthermore, there are the occasional heat waves in summer and temperatures can reach as high as 40°C (104°F) in July and August. Average temperature highs from June to September are usually in the range of 25°C (77°F) and November to February between 10°C (50°F) and 13°C (55°F).
