Proximo is the operator of the urban bus service in Faro, which links the city with the airport, suburbs and the beach. The bus terminal in Faro is situated in the city centre at
Avenida da Republica where many urban buses depart and arrive - the city centre is small and you can get around by walking. From Faro International Airport, bus no. 14 and no. 16 head to the city centre. To get to Faro Beach, take bus no. 14, 16 and 17 departing from various points in the city. The bus fare is €2.40 for a single ride and paid when boarding.
