Tenerife is situated north of the Tropic of Cancer and enjoys a warm climate year-round, making the island a popular holiday destination throughout the year. Average temperature highs during the summer months (from June to September) ranges from 26°C (79°F) to 29°C (89°F), while winters (from December to February ) is around 21°C (70°F). As you travel inward and upwards towards the mountain range, the climate gets cooler and at above 2,000 metres (6,562 feet) you can expect snow during the winter months.
