Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife SA (TITSA) is the main operator of Tenerife's public bus service. The buses known as
guagua by the locals are regular and the network of routes cover nearly every part of the island. However, the buses rarely arrive on time as stated on the timetable. Fares are based on distance e.g. it cost €2.65 from Santa Cruz to Tenerife North Airport and €5.25 to Puerto de La Cruz. Purchase a Bono prepaid card (€15 and €25 cards available) for discounted travel and valid until the credit runs out.
