Taxis in Tenerife are painted white and a green light on the roof indicates the taxi is available and red indicates it's occupied. Passengers arriving at any of the two airports in Tenerife (Tenerife South and Tenerife North) will find plenty of taxis waiting outside the terminal buildings. There are no shortages of taxis in the cities, towns and resorts on the island, especially near the tourist hot spots. You can flag for one along the streets, head to the nearest taxi stand or call for one to pick you up to your destination.
